Transdev is now seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Bentfits Specialist to support our growing operations across Western Canada. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for a large, unionized workforce while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and providing excellent service to employees and leaders.
Your role:
- Manage end-to-end, complex payroll processing for 1,500+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
- Process payroll across multiple complex collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), accurately interpreting and applying collective agreement language related to wages, premiums, allowances, and entitlements.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with managers across multiple Western Canada locations to ensure accurate employee records and payroll data within the payroll system.
- Calculate and process salary adjustments, bonuses, retroactive payments, and other payroll-related transactions as required.
- Generate payroll deductions, remittances, and payroll tax filings on a regular basis.
- Lead year-end payroll activities, including T4 preparation, reconciliations, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Prepare and deliver payroll reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Support the Payroll & Benefits Manager with the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cross-train and provide support in benefits administration to ensure team coverage during absences or peak periods.
- Support payroll system configuration changes resulting from collective agreement updates or new business, including collaboration with ADP to communicate requirements, triggers, and pay rule logic.
- Assist with additional payroll and benefits projects and programs as required.

Your Profile:
- Post-secondary diploma in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role (required).
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, remittances, and year-end reporting requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- PCP designation (preferred).
- Proven experience working with ADP Workforce Now (an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to be resourceful, think creatively, and anticipate operational needs.
